On the occasion of the Art&Vin 2025 festival, we are pleased to invite you to the opening of the local painter CARMO on Tuesday, July 15 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Maria de Carmo, known as Carmo, is a Portuguese painter. She moved to France at the age of 20, and it was in 2005, when she enrolled her 12-year-old daughter in painting classes, that she discovered this art. Initially intrigued, she truly launched herself as a painter when her daughter left home. "I believe it was my destiny. Since I started 20 years ago, I have never stopped." Carmo's style is colorful. Each canvas is born from a feeling, an emotion captured using flat areas of oil paint where abstract forms are drawn under the artist's fingers, which reveals that each of her works has no guiding principle: they are guided by the movement inspired by the canvas.
